Aluminum trailers, tankers, dump bodies and truck boxes are light and strong, but a crack in aluminum does not repair like steel. We weld aluminum on site at your yard, so the unit does not have to travel to a shop.

What aluminum work we do

We repair aluminum on heavy-duty trailers and trucks, including:

Cracked or torn aluminum skins and panels on trailers and box bodies.
Broken brackets, mounts and cross members on aluminum trailer frames.
Aluminum step boxes, battery boxes, toolboxes and generator boxes — repaired, or built new.
Deck plate and catwalks on trucks and trailers.
Aluminum bumpers and custom parts for trucks, including deer guards and bumpers.

Why aluminum needs different handling

Aluminum conducts heat away quickly, carries a tough oxide skin that has to be removed before welding, and it does not show the same colour change as steel when it gets hot. Dirt, paint and grease on the metal cause porous welds. That is why a good aluminum repair starts with grinding and cleaning back to bare metal around the crack, and why aluminum tools should not be shared with steel work.

Cracks in aluminum often keep growing from their ends. We find the full length of the crack first and stop it properly, instead of only welding the part you can see.

Steel and aluminum on one trailer

Many trailers mix both: an aluminum body on a steel frame, or steel landing gear and suspension on an aluminum trailer. Because we do both, one visit can cover the whole unit — for example a torn side wall plus a bent landing gear bracket.

Send us a photo

Text or WhatsApp a photo of the damage to 437-985-7311, with a close-up of the crack or tear and a wider shot of the area. If you know the trailer make or whether the part is aluminum or steel, tell us, but a photo is usually enough to start. You get the price before work begins and an itemized invoice afterwards. We do not quote prices without seeing the damage. Hours: 7 AM – 7 PM, 7 days a week.
