A hole in the roof or a torn side skin lets water into the load and keeps the trailer off the road. We repair trailer roofs and side panels at your yard, a dock or our shop, so it does not have to be towed across town.
What we repair
Roof and wall damage on dry vans, reefers and box bodies usually comes from a few causes: a low clearance strike, a forklift going through a side wall, a loose load shifting against the skin, or an old crack that has finally opened up. The work we do includes:
Torn or punctured side skins and roof sheets — damaged section cut out and a new patch or panel section welded in, where the material allows it.
Cracked or broken roof bows — the ribs that hold the roof shape, welded or replaced so the roof stops sagging.
Split panel seams and post connections — re-welded where the wall meets the posts, rails or rear frame.
Bent or buckled walls — straightened where possible, with the cause checked before we close it up.
Steel and aluminum — we weld both on the van with MIG, stick and plasma, using our own generator.
Repair or replace the panel?
A small puncture or a short tear is normally a patch job. A wall that is crushed across a large area, or skin that is thin and corroded all around the damage, may be better replaced in sections. We look at it before we quote, and tell you which makes more sense instead of welding over a problem that will reopen.
Photos help us decide quickly. Send one wide shot of the whole side or roof and one close-up of the damage, taken from the inside too if you can reach it.
Check the structure behind the damage
The skin is often the visible part of the damage. A hit hard enough to tear a wall can also bend a post, a roof bow or a cross member underneath. When we repair a panel we check the frame members around it, so you do not fix the skin and find the real problem on the next inspection.
Price and timing
We do not give a price over a chat or guess one in advance. Send a photo to 437-985-7311 and we quote the job before we start, then send an itemized invoice afterwards. If you have several units with panel damage, we can do them in one yard visit with an itemized invoice per unit. We are open 7 AM – 7 PM, 7 days a week.
