Landing Gear Repair in Brampton — On-Site, 7 Days

Why landing gear takes a beating in Brampton

Brampton is one of the busiest trucking hubs in Canada. Trailers get dropped and hooked over and over in yards along Airport Road, Steeles Avenue, Goreway Drive and the Highway 407 and 410 corridors, and every hard drop puts the load straight onto two legs.

Most of the landing gear damage we see here comes from a few causes: dropping a loaded trailer on a gravel or uneven lot, cranking down onto soft ground during the spring thaw, a tractor pulling away before the legs are fully down, and road salt that eats into gearboxes and brace welds over the winter. Left alone, a cracked brace or a leaning leg can fold the next time the trailer is dropped, and then you're paying to lift a fallen trailer instead of fixing a weld.

What we fix

Bent or buckled legs, broken or seized crank handles and gearboxes, the cross shaft that links both legs, cracked mounting plates and brackets, torn diagonal and cross braces, broken sand shoes and feet, and leg welds that have pulled away from the trailer frame. If a leg can be straightened and reinforced, we repair it. If it's too far gone, we replace it. We can usually get new legs the same day, so a full replacement is often finished in one visit.

Our mobile welding van carries a generator, MIG for steel and aluminum, stick and plasma, so the work can be done where the trailer is parked: your yard, a dock or a customer's site. If it's easier, bring the trailer to our shop on Orenda Road instead.

How a Brampton landing gear job works

1. Send a photo. Text or WhatsApp 437-985-7311 with a picture of both legs, the crank side and the mounting plate, plus where the trailer is parked.

2. Get the price first. We tell you whether it's a repair or a replacement and give you one clear number, labour and parts included, before any work starts.

3. We fix it. We usually reach Brampton yards within 24 hours, or you drop the trailer at our shop. You get an itemized invoice by email, and fleet and dispatcher billing is welcome.
